Our Story
After we sold our Farm and equipment in 2003 Baumie Boerdery became Baumie Technologies Broadband an IT Services or BTBITS for short. CTEC in Warmbaths Helped us building our first three Highsites and the we started providing wireless internet services in and around Bothaville. In 2007 we became part of Global Web Intact, but after we got our Icasa license in 2010 we left GWI and started trading on our own. Our network grew to Wesselsbron and in 2017 we acquired the network of Eleo internet services wich gave us coverage in Hoopstad and Bultfontein. BTBITS is a Family business and is run by the Baumgarten family in Bothaville.
Our Network
Covers Bothaville, Wesselsbron Hoopstad and Bultfontein and was built by ourselves using mostly ISM band Equipment. We’re utilizing the 5 to 5.8 Ghz frequencies as well as 2.4 Ghz. a few of our main links are running on the very potent 60 Ghz band.
